Henry Hunt is the brainchild of Phoebe Garlick, established in December 2009 Phoebe has developed the company with the help of her family to create a modern strand of country clothing. With her unique designs Phoebe combines the practicality of country lifestyle with contemporary fashion touches and styling. Featured in prestigious magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Country Life, the company, only into its second year, is already sailing along amongst established designers and brands.
Growing up in the deep depths of the Blackdown Hills in Somerset and studying Fashion Design in London, Phoebe wanted to bring the two lifestyles together and create a unique blend of classic garments with an edge. Exposed to the true eccentricity of English fashion in London she wanted to exude the edgy and fun style that the capital is so famous for in her collections. Combining this with the classic cuts and traditional fabrics used for centuries for both country, sporting and casual wear, she developed the concept of Henry Hunt - Pure British Attire.
Phoebe comments: “At Henry Hunt, our roots are important to us. Based in Somerset we endeavour to support our local industries using manufacturers in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall as well as sourcing locally woven fabrics where possible. All of our stock is produced in small runs to ensure exclusivity and exceptional quality, to each and every customer.”
Alongside the mainline collection of unique country designs Phoebe offers the ‘Heirloom’ range – one-off occasionwear pieces made by Phoebe in her Somerset studio. Created from the finest fabrics and hand selected materials, each piece is individually made for each client. Visit http://www.henryhunt.co.uk/vmchk/Heirlooms.html to view the current range of vintage inspired dresses available.

Nick Gould, Collyer Bristow LLP solicitors
Nick Gould was a guest speaker at the most recent Fashion Enter seminar for new designers and he has kindly sent these very detailed notes about what you need to know when setting up a business.
These notes come out of discussions I had with several designers and others at a recent Fashion Capital seminar/workshop. I benefited enormously from the feedback and questions and answers during the session so thanks to those who look part.
I thought we might go through some of the key issues which you should think about when you are setting up a new business venture.
So maybe first we need to identify what we mean by sitting up a business. Why? Because getting it wrong could have effects not only on the business itself but on you as owners/managers/directors. There are really five main choices but I want to concentrate on just two;

The Khukhuz clothing range has a collection that has been inspired by women. Beryl said: "Women who wear my clothes are passionate and daring enough to embrace their femininity to give a vibrant and sleek silhouette."
